CONVENT GARDEN OPEN DAY

Following the Convent Garden Open Day on Saturday, which was attended by well over 600 people, HE The Governor, Sir Adrian Johns, presented Special Olympics Gibraltar and Combat Stress with cheques for over £700 each.

Sir Adrian said "It was terrific to see so many people enjoying themselves here on Saturday. I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported this event, either beforehand or on the day itself. A special thank you also to those who made private donations to the charities we are supporting."

A quiz for children, information on recycling and green initiatives, sales of plants and music courtesy of members of the Royal Gibraltar Regiment Band ensured that there was something for everyone, with an emphasis on education as well as fun.
