The Leo Mena Environment Awards are given every year to those children who participate. All posters or projects are finished at home after having completed some initial teaching and discussion on matters concerning the environment in school. Year 2's base their work on Endangered Animals whereas the Year 3's look at Gibraltar and the hazardous effects of the environment e.g. pollution, litter etc.
This exhibition is in its 15th Year and is in memory of Leo Mena who at the time was President of the Parents Association and an Environment Officer, and who died suddenly at an early age. Mrs. Mena handed the participating children certificates at St Mary's School.
