GIBRALTAR RED CROSS RECEPTION

His Excellency The Governor, Sir Adrian Johns, hosted a reception at The Convent on Thursday 17 June on behalf of the Gibraltar Red Cross. The reception was in honour of Charlie Montegriffo MBE, who has retired as Honorary Treasurer of the Gibraltar Red Cross after over twenty years of service.

It is estimated that during his tenure the Gibraltar Red Cross donated over £1million to international disaster relief, as well as supporting local causes, for example by providing some 300 wheelchairs currently on loan within the local community. In recognition of his outstanding service and commitment to the Gibraltar Red Cross, Mr Montegriffo was presented with an engraved silver salver.
