Resurfacing of Trafalgar Road - Trafalgar Interchange Project

As part of the Government's ongoing Trafalgar Interchange New Roundabouts Project, works will be undertaken to repave and resurface Trafalgar Road, commencing as from 2.00pm on Saturday 19 June 2010 until no later than 6.00am on Monday 21 June 2010. The works will continue again over a period of three consecutive weekends with the same time of operation applying for the other three weekends. During this time, traffic travelling along Trafalgar Road, will be diverted towards the new main roundabout and will be able to continue northbound along the north eastern road lane through to the southern end of Main Street. During the weekend of the 10 and 11 July 2010 the section of road from Southport Gates to the junction with Trafalgar House will be planed, where Traffic will be allowed to travel over the planned surfacing during the day with the resurfacing of the road taking place during the evening starting as from 6.00pm onwards. Appropriate signage for the guidance of drivers will be displayed in the area of the works. Drivers are advised to take extra care when travelling through the works site as there might be uneven surfaces.

The Government regrets this temporary inconvenience which is essential for the completion of this project.
