Her Majesty The Queen has been graciously pleased to give orders for appointment to be Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire ("MBE"), of Mr Joseph Louis Caruana, Voluntary Social Worker, for services to drug rehabilitation in Gibraltar.
His Excellency The Governor, Sir Adrian Johns, has awarded the Gibraltar Award (Governor's Certificate and Badge of Honour) to Mrs Noelia Attias, for services to the elderly community of Gibraltar.
Mr Caruana has been working to help drug addicts in Gibraltar and the Campo since 1987. He has also worked to raise awareness of the dangers of drugs and been a volunteer at Nazareth House for over 11 years.
Mrs Attias is Vice President of the Senior Citizens Club in Town Range, where she has been organising events, providing support and serving on the Committee for 13 years.
Her Majesty The Queen has been graciously pleased to give orders for appointment to be Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire ("MBE"), of The Reverend John Hill, the Command Chaplain, for his 'invaluable services' to the Handicapped Children's Pilgrimage Trust (Royal Navy) and thereby 'making a real difference to the lives of hundreds of Naval dependent children living in difficult circumstances.'
