Parking at the Beaches

The Government is making various areas available to enable beach goers to find parking near to the beach. These parking amenities will be provided for beach users of both Eastern Beach and Catalan Bay.

The Catalan Bay car park has been made wider than in previous years resulting in approximately 100 more parking spaces being available. The car park is now open to the public and can accommodate approximately 300 parking spaces.

At Eastern Beach three parking facilities will be provided. The Eastern Beach car park at the reclamation has been made larger than in previous years and is accessible via the gate at the southern end of the beach. A second car park will be available at the Aerial Farm as was the case last year; this car park facility can be accessed from Eastern Beach Road. In addition, an extra parking facility is also being provided within the Aerial Farm and this will be accessible from Devil’s Tower Road. These three car parks will accommodate approximately 500 parking spaces and will have adequate signage in place.

In addition to these car parking facilities, Government has already announced that it will make special arrangements, for the Gibraltar Bus Company to provide a free shuttle bus service to Catalan Bay Beach, Eastern Beach and Western Beach from Market Place. This will greatly assist beach goers with their transport requirements throughout the bathing season.
