GIBRALTAR AT POSIDONIA - The International Shipping Exhibition in GREECE

The Port of Gibraltar will be participating in this year's Posidonia Exhibition. The exhibition will take place from 7th-11th June at the Hellenikon Exhibition Centre in Piraeus, Greece and is considered the largest commercial event in the shipping calendar; attended by over 16,000 visitors.The Port of Gibraltar will have its own stand number 561, Hall 5.

The Gibraltar stand is being part-sponsored by Gibraltar based industry players, Aegean Bunkering (Gibraltar) Ltd, Gibdock Ltd, the Gibunco Group, Steelmac Ltd and Vemaoil Company Ltd. Other minor sponsors include Nature Port Reception Facilities and A Mateos & Sons.

The Minister with responsibility for Shipping and the Port will be leading the Gibraltar delegation to Posidonia. Minister Holliday will be at the exhibition for two days and will be hosting a reception for the industry on the Gibraltar stand on Wednesday 9th June at 12.30 pm.

Minister Holliday commented:

"As a result of the steady increase in growth that the shipping sector is enjoying, it is important that Gibraltar, as one of the principal Mediterranean ports, should participate in this event. We consider Posidonia to be an important forum to promote to the international shipping community the opportunities that Gibraltar offers in this important market. In addition, Posidonia offers important opportunities for networking with key industry players and to increase awareness of the Port of Gibraltar. It is certainly gratifying to see so many key industry players supporting this Government initiative."
