New Deputy Mayor appointed

The Government is pleased to bring a motion in Parliament proposing the appointment of Mr Julio J Alcantara as Deputy Mayor 2010/11 and as Mayor for 2011/12. The motion will note that Mr Anthony JP Lombard takes over as Mayor from Mrs Olga Zammit on 1st August 2010 and also thanks Mrs Zammit for her work and commitment in the discharge of the functions of that Office.
