Christmas Illuminations

The Christmas Illuminations were switched on last Friday. The ceremony took place on the Main Street side of the John Mackintosh Square in front of Parliament House. Fourteen-year-old Jamie Lee Cooper together with four year old Isabelle Piror, from the 3rd Rainbow Unit who is representing the Girl Guide movement celebrating their 100th anniversary, were switching on the illuminations brightening Gibraltar's main thoroughfare in the run up to Christmas Day and throughout the festive season. They were accompanied by their families and friends together with Hon. Joe Holliday, Minister for Enterprise, Development, Technology and Transport and the staff of the Gibraltar Electricity Authority engaged in the installation of the illuminations.
